Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - URGENT

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with Emergency Department experience to fill a full-time contract over the summer months. The successful candidate will work a rotation of 12-hour day and night shifts both in the Emergency Department and Acute Care floor. They must also be comfortable working as a Charge Nurse.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

The specific responsibilities and duties vary slightly between locations, as well as from shift to shift. These expectations will be communicated during the site-specific orientation. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


  • Assess patients to identify appropriate interventions.

  • Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary health team.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.

  • Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patient’s conditions.

  • Provide wound care.

  • Manage the healthcare team and delegate tasks to the appropriate members.

  • Ensure the health, safety, welfare, and independence of residents and/or clients.

  • Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety regulations set by the province, as well as the policies and procedures of Superior Staff it and any partnered facility. 

  • Follow scope of practice as outlined by the CNO.

Qualifications 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school (required).

  • Registered Nursing License in good standing with the College of Nurses (required).

  • Minimum 1 year nursing experience (required).
  • Emergency Department experience (required)

  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search.

  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (preferred).

  • A valid driver’s license, access to own vehicle and possessing own car insurance are considered an asset.

**ALL NECESSARY PPE WILL BE PROVIDED ON SITE**

 

Salary: $58.00-$94.00
