Nestled among the diverse neighbourhoods of this city are surf shops, fresh seafood restaurants, beach boutiques, local breweries, and more. The city has a thriving arts scene, with multiple public murals, art galleries, and museums as well as live music venues. The warm weather and extensive shoreline are the perfect environment for surfing, scuba diving, fishing, boating, and other water-sports. In fact, surfing competitions are held all year long, including some major high-level events. Sports fans can watch NFL games at the city’s large sporting venue, or take three to four hours to head down to Dunedin to watch the MLB spring training events. Full time, long-term position

Registered Nurse-Progressive Care Unit
Will training for RNs with a minimum of 1.5+ Yrs of licensed RN experience in acute care hospital Telemetry or Med-Surg units.
  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
  • Organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
  • Coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
  • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
  • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
  • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Certification-

Requirements

Passed NCLEX-RN
Current CGFNS VisaScreen (Can be obtained at www.cgfns.org)
Eligible for FL RN License
Current Canadian or US passport
Bachelors in Nursing preferred
Minimum 1.5 years current acute care hospital experience in desired unit (as an RN post graduating from nursing school)
      ***Operating Room RNs-Will consider graduates from OR certificate programs of at least 8 months with clinical rotations through different OR Services.
BLS
ACLS, PALS depending on unit
