Registered Nurse, PICU

Nurses who have not worked in Ontario in the last 6 months may qualify for a $10,000 incentive as per government government initiative.
The Registered Nurse will be a part of our multidisciplinary team. We offer crisis intervention & multidisciplinary assessments for adolescents with complex and severe mental health issues.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients and families
- Work as member of our interdisciplinary team
- Participate in the development and implementation of inpatient programming
- Offer support/counselling to patients and their families
- Provide appropriate learning experiences for our patients and their families
- Offer mentoring and precepting experience to students and new staff
- Perform “in charge” role when needed

Assistance in buying or leasing a vehicle in U.S. with no U.S. credit history
Ongoing support for nurses throughout their employment
Assistance with renewal of work authorization and documentation when needed
Requirements
Requires PICU experience as a licensed RN
Critical Care experience with the ability to care for Hemodynamically unstable and ventilated patients
May consider training for those with Adult ICU or other acute care Pediatric experience
Critical Care courses and Certification or other appropriate combination of education and experience
Current PALS certification or successful completion of within 12 months
Vulnerable Sector Check required
Current CNO RN registration mandatory
Current CPR mandatory
B.Sc. Nursing (Current or in Progress) Preferred
Certificate in Pediatric Nursing Preferred but will train
Experience in PICU Preferred but will consider training experienced ICU RN
Excellent team work and interpersonal skills
Bilingualism French/English an asset
