Richmond Clinical Trials is a satellite site to Okanagan Clinical Trials located in Kelowna, BC. Together with Headlands Research, Okanagan Clinical Trials makes a significant contribution to the medical industry. Our clinic specializes in the execution of research studies that hope to advance treatments for many indications including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, migraine, autism, celiac disease, diabetes, and more.

 

The Role

 

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our passionate team on a part-time or full-time basis at our clinical research site located in Richmond, BC. The ideal candidate is passionate about clinical trials and patient safety, has the accountability and motivation to complete time-sensitive duties ahead of schedule, and has an extremely high attention to detail. We are flexible on our needs and are looking for a provider able to provide as few as 16 and as many as 40 hours per day. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient consultations and education in an outpatient setting under the direction of the physician in charge of the clinical trial
  • Conducts study-related physical exams and follow-up visits
  • Reviews and adheres to assigned research study protocol
  • Works with the study-leading physician in evaluation and review of potential study participants’ eligibility
  • Maintains proper documentation
  • Ensures that all clinical activities are carried out in accordance with established research protocol and standards in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members
  • Reviews lab results imaging reports, and other study-specific reports

 

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's program
  • Current and unencumbered license to practice as an NP in British Columbia required
  • Must have at least one full year of work experience as an advanced provider
  • Previous experience in the clinical research industry preferred
  • Previous experience with direct hands-on patient care preferred
