The Heart Centre at St. Paul’s Hospital (SPH) is British Columbia’s comprehensive referral centre for patients with heart disease, a major teaching facility for cardiac professionals, and a leader in understanding and treating heart disease. With a full spectrum of treatment and care, including surgery, transplants and rehabilitation, Providence Health Care (PHC) is also host to multiple services, programs, and resources dedicated to advancing heart/lung health. The Cardiac Surgery service at SPH is one of the largest centres in the province and provides tertiary and quaternary level care for complex cardiac surgery patients from across British Columbia.
