Nurse Practitioner

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioners (NP) specialized in Clinic and Acute settings to join our amazing team working in Greater Toronto Area, we’re ready when you are!

Working as a member of the inter-professional team, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide specialized services in the management of patient care. Working in collaboration with other Corporate Health Services professionals to enhance the provision of quality care including autonomously diagnosing and treating illnesses. This role also involves ordering and interpreting test as well as prescribing medications and performing medical procedures within the legislated scope of practice. You will be consulting with a Physician or other Corporate Health Services professional when the patients condition requires beyond the NP’s scope of practice.

Looking for Passionate NP’s who can commit to a temporary full time, in-person assignment rotating between two Clinics in the GTA. Hours will require flexibility starting Mid March until May 2025.

Job Qualifications

Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.

• Baccalaureate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in good standing with the College of Nurse of Ontario
• Minimum of 3 years of geriatric experience required as a Nurse Practitioner
• Excellent interpersonal skills, experience with written documentation, care plans and dictation.
• Able to prescribe controlled substances as authorized by CNO.
• Manage, direct and provide comprehensive health care for individuals and families who visit the Clinic as well as Lead the development and implementation of education and awareness programs
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
