Job Description:
Temporary Full Time LPN Day Float Position
Rotation LPN12 DF
5 on and 2 off as per rotation
0700 - 1500
FTE: 1.0
Wage Grid Range as per BCNU Master Collective Wage: $32.84 - $41.35/hr
Responsibilities:
Typical Duties
- Assesses and monitors residents actual and potential strengths and limitations. Utilizes a holistic model of assessment including physiological, psychological, socio-culture and spiritual needs. Where appropriate, encourages resident participation in activities of daily living.
- Contributes to the development and modification of the individualized care plan, including attending and providing input into the care conferences, grand rounds and family conferences.
- Performs all nursing care and nursing procedures applicable to the LPN Standards of Practice scope.
Evaluates outcomes:
- Records observations and is able to understand and utilize the nursing process. Reports problems and/or changes to designated Team Leader [RN/RPN] and/or Clinical Care Coordinator.
- Administers medications including liquid narcotics to assigned residents according to policy and procedures. This includes all subcutaneous, intramuscular injections.
- Participates in admissions, discharges, transfer and placement of residents in accordance with the Access Priority guidelines and facility operating policies.
- Documents information on the resident’s chart, including all pertinent clinical information related to the residents condition care and nursing procedures.
- Provides personal care to the residents, assists residents with meals and all other aspects of their care.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education, Training and Experience
- Graduation from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Must be full scope practice status
- One year’s recent related experience.
- Current full practicing licensure with the College of Practical Nurses of BCCNM in good standing.
- Current certificate in CPR.
- Completion of the Learning Hub 8 moderate to high risk violence prevention modules

- Ability to operate related equipment
- Ability and willingness to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion (i.e., The Salvation Army Abuse Registry) and provide an original copy of a Background Check screening.
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $32.84 to $37.10 with a maximum of $41.35.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
