The Operating Room performs elective and emergency surgery on an outpatient and inpatient basis. The multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anesthetists, nurses and support staff work together to ensure a positive experience for the patient.

The Operating Room is currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Registered Nurse to join their healthcare team.
Effective As soon as possible
Ending on or before May 3, 2026
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in Good Standing
• Certificate in Peri-Operative Nursing from an accredited educational facility, or equivalent years of OR experience
• Minimum two (2) years current Operating Room nursing experience
• Ability to scrub and circulate in all services
• Must be willing to take call with assigned shifts and be available to reach the hospital within 15 minutes when on call (On-Call room available)
• Current BCLS certification, on hire
• Knowledge of ORNAC and IPAC Standards
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
• Commitment to continuous professional development and continuing education
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
• Computer knowledge and skills
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
• Ability to function as a team member
• Ability to respond to urgent/emergent situations
• Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis
• B.Sc.N.
Must be available to work a variety of eight (8) hour shifts Monday to Sunday, days, evenings, nights, weekends, including statutory holidays and on-call. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the ONA Collective Agreement.
