Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.

The University Health Centre (UHC) manages approximately 53,000 patient visits annually, and the nursing team plays a critical role in providing efficient patient care, managing triage, and ensuring high-quality clinical assessments. Reporting to the Operations Lead, the successful candidate will operate within a fast-paced environment supporting students, staff, and campus visitors.

This role requires autonomous decision-making within the CRNA scope of practice, with a strong focus on acute care, public vaccine knowledge, and specialized clinic support.



Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assessment & Acute Care: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, implement care plans, triage emergent/non-emergent concerns, and manage patient care outcomes independently.
  • Administrative & Specialist Support: Provide medical support to UHC physicians, accurately chart into Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and assist with specialized procedures (such as OB/GYN clinics).
  • Health Faculty Immunizations: Plan, draft, and execute immunization schedules for Health Faculty students in compliance with up-to-date Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidelines.
  • Inventory & Campaign Management: Assist in maintaining secure medical inventories and play an active role in coordinating the annual campus-wide UHC Influenza Campaign.
  • Patient Education: Deliver clear instructional counseling regarding home wound care, medication use, and equipment tracking while adhering strictly to HIA and FOIPP privacy standards.


Qualifications
  • Graduate of a recognized Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing degree program.
  • Active, unconditional registration and in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification (renewed annually).
  • Certification in public health or travel vaccinations is considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, strong critical thinking skills, and the capacity to navigate difficult or fast-moving patient interactions.
