Job Description:Β The Nurse Practitioner (NP) Regina Acute and Transitional Pain Service (ATPS) is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience, working within a framework of evidence-informed practices, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. The advanced practice NP blends an in-depth knowledge of pain management and perioperative care with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform specific procedures in the prevention and management of physiological and pathological conditions. Β In this setting, pain management and perioperative experience is an asset to supplement advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and abilities. Practice involves building partnership with individuals and families. The NP collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and liaises with health professionals and agencies throughout the organization to facilitate high quality care for the patient and families. NPs are responsible for their professional development and maintaining competence and registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).

Experience
- Five (5) full time years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Education
- Master's degree in nursing
Licenses
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HCP Certificate (CPR-HCP)
Other Education and Training
- Current authorization Methadone for pain management and therapeutics for OUD
- Ability to maintain current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with CRNS
- Registered/eligible for registration with CRNS as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Other Information
- Two (2) years recent Surgical nursing experience would be an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Two (2) years recent Peri Anesthesia nursing experience would be an asset
- Canadian Nursing Association Certification in clinical practice area is an asset
- Two (2) years recent Perioperative nursing experience would be an asset
