Job Description: In collaboration with the health team, the primary health nurse practitioner will provide primary health services to the community. This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; initiating and participating in community development initiatives and participating in evaluative projects. The Primary Health Care Nurse RN (NP) reports to a Manager of Primary Health Care. Incumbent is self-directed and requires minimal supervision.

Experience

  • Three (3) full-time years of experience as a Registered Nurse

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Registered Nurse Practitioner (RN(NP))

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
