Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner will blend their in-depth knowledge with their understanding of the legislation to assess and support the full range of options for end of life care including Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID). The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and liaises with health professionals and agencies throughout the province to facilitate high quality care for the patient and family seeking this service. The position will require response to needs in all health facilities and dwellings within the neighboring rural areas.

Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in emergency and/or critical care.
  • Minimum one year experience in community and palliative

Education

  • Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)
