    Job Description: As a valued Employee of SHA, the general duty nurse has responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client care. The registered nurse is a competent clinical practitioner assisting individuals, groups and families with health-care needs ranging from uncomplicated to complex and rapidly changing status. As a professional the general duty nurse demonstrates a caring approach, including an understanding of the nursing process, a conceptual model for practice and SHA philosophy, objectives and standards.

    Experience
    • Acute Care experience preferred.
    Education
    • Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
    Knowledge and Abilities
    • Ability to work within established policies and procedures
    • Knowledge in applicable principles of nursing process and interventions
    • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
    • Demonstrates flexibility by adjusting workload to accommodate variable needs
    • Ability to apply methods and principles of nursing process
