Job Description: In collaboration with the health team, the primary health nurse will provide primary health services to the community. This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; initiating and participating in community development initiatives and participating in evaluative projects.

Education



  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Registered Nurse

  • Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)


Licenses



  • Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C)


Other Education and Training



  • Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program required
