As a Registered Practical Nurse with WeeCare, you will do more than provide medical care according to each client’s care plan. You will offer peace of mind, comfort, and become a trusted extension of the client’s family.

Position

Part-time Registered Practical Nurse in Oshawa, ON in our Adult complex care division every Saturday or Sunday 0800-1600 or 0900-1700 (flexibility with day and time).

Please note: If you cannot commit to the weekly schedule, we will not be able to accept your application.

General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)

• Administer and document medications as prescribed, following CNO medication administration standards
• Monitor and maintain the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics
• Maintain client's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
• Enteral feeds
• Seizure management support
• Assist the client with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
• Observe and report on changes in clients condition to guardian and WeeCare
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
• Demonstrate understanding of client’s needs and maximize abilities
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the client/guardian
• Respond to client/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including client’s equipment and belongings
• Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting client’s safety, incidents, and accidents
• Complete all other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the CNO
• Current BLS certification
• Vulnerable Sector Check within the past 6 months
• Professional Liability Insurance

• Every Saturday or Sunday
• 0800-1600 or 0900-1700
• Day shift
• 8 hour shift
