MDSearch is recruiting Nurse Practitioners for a patient-focused organization in the Bedford region, striving to enhance the health and well-being of specialized populations through patient care.

As a Nurse Practitioner you will provide assessment and care, utilizing shockwave therapy services to treat patients with erectile dysfunction.

Training on equipment usage will be provided.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high quality care by assessing, screening, prescribing, and providing therapeutic care for patients as necessary
Uphold clinical customer service through the delivery of prompt and empathetic care
Provide clinical care for patients with erectile dysfunction including shockwave therapy


Requirements

  • Current certificate of registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing as a nurse practitioner in good standing.
  • Master of Science (Nursing) or a Masters in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct clients’ interviews and examinations, develop and implement client-centered treatment plans, while integrating evidence-based health promotion practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to function within a collaborative practice model.
  • Effective leadership capabilities, including but not exclusive to teaching, mentoring, and supporting shared care models.
  • Member of NPANS is an asset
  • Additional professional liability coverage is required; additional relevant professional memberships are an asset.
  • Experience/confidence in working independently, with a high degree of self-direction and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) including conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to use information technology (e.g. Microsoft Office and electronic medical records).
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
