Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager, the Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing services to urban and rural Home Care clients within the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The home base for this position is 1504 Albert Street Regina.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years recent related nursing experience is required

Education

  • Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certitication.
  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Registered Nurse (RN)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge in nursing process
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement.
  • Current clinical knowledge and skill are required in a broad range of areas.
  • Ability to promote effective relationships within the SHA and the community.
  • Demonstrated independent nursing judgment in a community-based environment
  • Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and as a leader of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrate communication skills to create positive outcomes/build relationships

  • Community based position provides services in clinic/home settings in PHC Regina
  • Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
