Pediatric respites:   

Our Nurses work 1:1 with pediatric clients gaining valuable experience in the home care setting with children that have unique medical needs. You will be responsible for the total care during your shift including assessments, medications, treatments, therapies, g-tube feedings, tracheotomy care, respiratory treatments, and other assistance depending on the needs of the child.   

What we need from you:   
  • Must be Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the province of practice
  • Experience in community health an asset
  • Pediatric experience an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required and a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Working conditions and physical demands: This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
