Your tasks at a glance     

  • You are the person who works closely with the ophthalmologist; you anticipate their actions while following protocols.
  • You reassure patients before and after their procedure and ensure they feel at ease showing empathy.
  • You like working in a team and know by heart the actions to take to coordinate each intervention.
  • You will become a specialist of the tools and technologies used during intraocular procedures.
  • You are comfortable working on your feet in the operating room.
  • You are a stickler for details and work with precision and accuracy.

 A clear view of your assets     

  • You are a Licensed Practical Nurse registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
  • You have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Your experience in the field of ophthalmology and/or optometry is considered an asset.
  • You have the ability to relate to others and quickly establish a climate of trust.
  • You have a definite interest in the field of health and high-tech devices.
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment and when working in a team.
  • Schedule: You have flexible work availability from Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
