Cardiology Hospitalist Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner
LinkPAsHospitalist Cardiology opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New Jersey between Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore. Best of both worlds- no weekends, evenings, or nights and hospital medicine! Great opportunity for a PA or NP that loves caring for acute patients but wants the outpatient hours. Experience is required. Not a spot for a recent graduate.
About the Hospitalist Cardiology PA or NP opportunity
- Hours are 8 am- 4:30 pm, Monday- Friday
- 2 Physicians and 2 APP on Hospital team
- Census is 35-55 range each day
- Private Practice employee not Hospital
- No call or weekends
- Round daily on 10-15 patients
- Work independently- consults, follow ups, admissions (rare)
- Occasional admission and discharge from cath lab
- EKG and Stress testing interpretation
- Patient admitted for MI, Hypertension, Cardiomyopathy, CHF, Ischemic heart disease, CVA
- EMR is EPIC
Requirements of the Hospitalist Cardiology PA or NP opportunity
- Master’s Degree completed (PA or NP)
- National Certification
- New Jersey State Medical Licensure
- 3 years of Hospital Based Medicine experience as PA or NP
- 12 lead EKG and Stress test reading
- Echo courses and training a bonus
